In this article, we shall be looking at the common uses of a bean bag.
Heating pads. A bean bag filled with natural materials can make an excellent heating pad. These are some of the materials that can be used as fillers- rice, wheat, barley, oats, cherry pits, flax seeds and corn. In addition, the bag can be added with some aromatic ingredients. The bag when heated with dry heat and the filler can hold the heat for some time. Furniture. This is the most common use of the bean bags. They are used as furniture. Depending on the size of the bean bag and the size of the person using it, the ban bag can be used as an armchair, full-size bed or a sofa with armrests. The bag will shape itself with respect to the person’s body to provide support while getting comfortable. Safety helmets. Recently, companies are using bean bag cushioning to make safety helmets. The cushions are filled with numerous round beads that help to disperse the force of impact. They have been used in bicycle helmets and ski helmets. Therapeutic devices. The bean bag as a furniture has been found to be helpful for people with autism. They help with helping them concentrate and relax. Pool floats. The materials used to make the bean bags are water resistant and can therefore float on water. Most people have started using them as recreational floating devices in pools at their homes. However, you need to be very careful when using these bean bags as floating devices. Camera stands. For the photographers, I believe that they have used the bean bags as a camera stand. They can be used as an alternative for tripods and can be used in places where a tripod cannot go. Pet beds. For the people who love pets, they can use the bean bag chair as a bed for cats, dogs and other pets in the house. However, the bag must be constructed from a heavyweight material and sewn tightly. This way, you will get a comfortable and long-lasting pet bed. Games. Small bags filled with any of the several materials can be used for games. The most common game being the bean bag toss. Juggling balls. Juggling balls are made with small bags filled with rice. At home, you can easily make the juggling balls if you have the fabric. In addition, they can be used safely with children to help develop the hand-eye coordination.
